House Portrait

I did this house portrait for a friend of mine for Christmas.
It is a little bit quirky but that is the nature of my drawing.
Nothing is perfectly square or straight but it is recognizable as their house.
I did water colour & ink because my friend loves this medium.

I framed it to match their decor.

It is amazing what you can find on Google. I was going to go over &
take a picture of the house but there was never a good time.
So you can Google their address & go to street view. Once there
you can change the angle & zoom in or out. It is a great tool!

Have a very Merry Christmas all & a Happy New Year!!  : )

Holiday decor Living Room

The tree is the main attraction in the Living Room every year.
With the vintage & handmade ornaments it is a wonderful,
whimsical focal point.

A few goodies & a good coffee. Yum.

My new Jackson plaid pillows fit right in to the holiday decor.

My very own handmade Mocha ornament!

The pine cone is hand carved by a good friend!

Both handmade by a good friend!

My Christmas plush collection has grown every year!

My nut cracker & advent calendar collection.

Handmade from a light bulb!

Handmade chenille santa & light bulb snowman.

Hand painted snowman gourd.

I made the origami reindeer many years ago. I got the needle felted
snowman at the One of A Kind Show this year. He made me smile.

Got these wooden blocks at the Craft show too. They are made of
recycled off cuts and make a puzzle on one side with different
scenes on the other. All handmade & hand painted.

You can tell Mocha is very excited about Christmas! : )

Holiday decor My Studio

My studio may be small but it is packed with some of my favourite things!

Christmas card display.

This little guy was hand carved for me by a friend.
Isn't he awesome? : )

Holiday decor Powder Room

Let's not forget the powder room. Guests use this room so why not
decorate it too? I have put out a few things to look at while in there.

This little Noah's Arc decoration can stay out all year because the Santa is
removable & gets replaced with Noah for the rest of the year.

I love these penguin guys.  : )

Holiday decor Dining Room

Here is the Dining room all decked out.

This is our beautiful new picture window in the dining room.
I will have to paint the trim but that's not going to happen
till after Christmas.

This little porcelain gingerbread house lights up in the windows.
It is a Martha Stewart product from a few years ago.
No the candles are not part of it, they are behind but appear as though
they are attached! LOL!

This is a collection of my snow globes & the children's
Christmas books we used to read when they were little.
Along with a couple of my decor books thrown in.

A few vintage balls from my parents. : )

Christmas decor Family Room

The focal point of the family room is this real wood burning fire place.
The huge stones are granite from the surrounding area.

The red stocking was hand knit by my Grandmother
& I have had it all my life. It's an antique now! LOL!

The stocking holders are a set of four.

These are all designed by Lorraine Chien.

This beautiful wooden bowl was hand painted by my friend
Diane Pepple from PA. I love it!

These little trees are from Pottery Barn & are really cute
with the small vintage balls on them. They kind of look
like Charlie Brown trees.  : )
